Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Upfront Clarity Dashboard (the "Application", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you connect your QuickBooks Online account and use the Application to view financial reports.
Information We Access
When you authorize the Application through Intuit's OAuth 2.0 flow, we access the following from your QuickBooks Online company, on a read-only basis:
- Company profile information (company name and identifiers)
- Profit & Loss report data
- Balance Sheet report data
- Transaction records for reporting periods shown in the dashboard
- Basic account identity information (name and email) provided by Intuit's OpenID Connect
We request only the Accounting scope and basic identity information. We do not request or access payments or payroll permissions.
How We Use Information
Information is used solely to display financial reports within the Application to authorized users (for example, board members reviewing company performance). We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Storage and Security
The Application stores OAuth access and refresh tokens in a secured database so that it can retrieve reports on your behalf. Credentials such as the application's client secret are stored only as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to the browser. We retrieve report data from Intuit on demand and do not build a separate long-term copy of your detailed financial records beyond what is needed to display the current reports.
Data Retention
Authorization tokens are retained until you disconnect the Application or the tokens expire. You may revoke access at any time from within your Intuit account (Apps & Connections), or by contacting us to disconnect the Application, after which stored tokens are removed.
Intuit and Third-Party Services
The Application connects to Intuit's QuickBooks Online APIs. Your use of QuickBooks Online is also governed by Intuit's own privacy policy and terms. We access Intuit data only as permitted by the scopes you authorize.
Your Choices
You control the connection between your QuickBooks Online account and the Application and can revoke it at any time. Revoking access stops all further data retrieval by the Application.
Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, contact the Application administrator at Upfront Clarity.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
